Myrtle Beach Dixie Stampede Now a Pirate Adventure

Dolly Parton’s closed Dixie Stampede dinner show location in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is set to reopen this week as a new show with a brand new pirate and mermaid theme.

Now called Pirate Voyage, the all new dinner show adventure brings an exciting and up-tempo pirate tale to Grand Strand. To get ready for Pirate Voyage, the Dixie Stampede building underwent a substantial $11 million renovation. The centerpiece of the facility now includes a 15-foot, 750,000 gallon indoor pool. At either end of the pool you’ll find 30-foot pirate galleons while a third sunken pirate ship sits in the middle of the set.

Dolly Parton wrote the musical score for the new show which features pirates, mermaids and sea lions in addition to horses.

For those interested in the Dixie Stampede show, Parton’s original dinner show attraction is still operating at two locations, Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee near Parton’s Dollywood theme park.
